Dal Makhni

You can’t deny dal makhani or dal makhni if you are traveling in Punjab. Every restaurant, Dhaba, or even you will find this popular dish in every Indian house.

It is prepared with black lentils, beans, lots of spices, cream, and butter. The texture is outstanding so as the taste and aroma and you will definitely lick your fingers.    

Some people also add yogurt or milk for enhancing creaminess and flavor and you must try this.  

Masala Dosa

It is directly originated from South India and a powerhouse of veggies and spices, this dish looks yummy and quite healthy.

This is prepared with rice, urad dal, potatoes, lots of spices, and ingredients and served with coconut chutney.

You can find this most of the parts in India and people love to eat this at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.   

Hyderabad Biryani

Biryani has entered India with the entering of Mughal’s and now became one of the most popular and dominant Indian dishes and you can find this at most of Indian restaurants.

It has been prepared with rice, curry, chicken, mutton, dry fruits, nuts, veggies, and a handful of spices. There is also an option for vegetarians but traditional Biryani comes in the non-vegan form.     

Indian Chaats

Indian Chaats can be considered the precious culinary item and you will find these every corner of India especially if you love street food.

Chaats include pani puri, bhel puri, kachori, dahi-bhalla, masala puri, and many other items. This mouth-smashing dish should try once if you are yet unaware of that.

Makke ki Roti & Sarson Saag

This Indian dish is the heartbeat of Punjab and looks delicious. You will only find it in Punjab and people specially visit here for tasting it.

It is prepared with green mustard leaves, some spinach, ginger, garlic, and many other ingredients and it takes quality time and effort while making this and they also serve makke ki roti that is prepared with cornflour.  

Litti Chokha

Litti Chokha has been originated from Bihar and you can find this traditional dish in Utter Pradesh too.  

It is made with gram flour, wheat flour, veggies, spices, and clarified butter. The round-shaped balls stuffed with simple ingredients served hot with vegetables or lentils.   

Daal Bati & Churma

This is also a traditional dish that is served in various states of the country like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, etc.

Dal or lentil is a mixture of different pulses like tuvaar, moong, and chana daal added with spices like onion, garlic, ginger, and chilies.

Baati is made from wheat flour and they steam or bake it well in the traditional oven with smokiness then speared some Ghee or butter and serve hot.

Churma is a sweet side item also prepared with wheat flour, sugar, and Ghee.    

Dhokla

Dhokla is a side snack and very popular in Gujarat and is now known in other parts of the country too. For preparing Dhokla, gram flour, semolina, green chills, and other spices are being used as the main ingredients.

They make a fermented batter and steam it into a steamer. It looks great and tastes delicious and served hot or chill with green chutney.   

Tandoori Chicken

Tandoori chicken is also a prominent Indian dish directly originated from ancient time and now some changes can’t change the taste of it.

The fresh chicken has been marinated into yogurt with a lot of spices for a few hours and then cook in a hot tandoor by spreading some butter till the chicken gets soft and juicy.

This dish served in the main course and people love it passionately.  

Shahi Paneer Masala

Shahi paneer masala is a part of every Indian meal when guests arrive or occasionally people prepare this and it is a wonderful dish as well.

Cottage cheese with some gravy and different vegetables like onions, capsicum, and for enhancing the texture using some cream and butter is normal.
