The Point System

Welcome to Einsty, the app that turns your productivity into a game! Earn points, climb the ranks, and build better habits. Here’s how the point system works:

✅ How to Earn Points

  • Complete a Pomodoro Timer: Successfully finish a focus session without interruption.
    Reward: +100 points

❌ How to Lose Points (Punishments)

To encourage commitment, points are deducted for abandoning tasks.

  • Closing a Pomodoro Session: Closing a timer page while it's still running.
    Penalty: -150 points
  • Closing the Browser: Closing the browser tab or window while any timer is active. The penalty is applied automatically when you reopen the app.
    Penalty: -200 points
  • Deleting a Long-Term Goal: Deleting a long-term goal before its deadline has passed.
    Penalty: -500 points

⏯️ Timer Controls

  • Start: Begins the countdown for a new or paused timer.
  • Pause: Temporarily stops a running timer. You can safely pause a timer without penalty and resume it later by pressing "Start" again.

New Productivity Features

  • Dedicated Pages: Pomodoro, Stopwatch, and Calculator now live on their own fully dedicated pages for enhanced focus and a cleaner experience.
  • Data and Analytics Dashboard: Access your habits, daily streak, grade calculator, exam countdown, long-term goals, and study statistics directly from the Dashboard.
  • Syncing Notebooks: Quickly add floating notes on the home screen, or open the powerful full-screen Notepad which automatically syncs with your quick notes!

The Power of the Pomodoro Technique

In a world filled with constant distractions, maintaining focus is a superpower. The Pomodoro Technique, developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, is a time management method that uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. It’s a simple yet profoundly effective system designed to combat procrastination, improve focus, and make you more aware of how you spend your time. This application is built around that core philosophy, enhancing it with modern tools to supercharge your productivity.

How Does It Work?

The technique is based on a few simple steps:

  • Choose a Task: Decide on the task you want to work on.
  • Set the Timer: Start a Pomodoro timer for 25 minutes.
  • Work Intensely: Give the task your undivided attention.
  • Take a Short Break: Take a short 5-minute break to relax.
  • Repeat and Take Longer Breaks: After every four Pomodoros, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes.
