About The Game

Modern Combat was developed and published by Gameloft (for mobile platforms like iOS and Android). Modern Combat is very similar to games like Call of Duty, Counter Strike, or Battlefield.

There are multiple missions and players are assigned with different tasks. The first game of this series is Modern Combat: Sandstorm followed by Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus, released in 2010. In the next years, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation was released in 2011, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour in 2012 and Modern Combat 5: Blackout in 2014.

The game is split into two main modes:

1. Campaign

2. Death Match

How To Play

The basic war in Modern Combat 5: Blackout is very similar to the four previous games of its series.

The player can aim, shoot, go prone, crouch, sprint, drop grenades, reload its weapon, etc.

What makes Modern Combat 5: Blackout is the new feature which is the ability to pick up a soldier and fix class ranging from assault, heavy, sniper, recon, support, bounty hunter, sapper, and the X-1 Morph.

Please take a note that a player’s class does not refrain the player from picking up differnt class’ weapons in-game. For example, an assault class player can also pick snipers.

The campaign keeps Phoenix (a character in Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour) in the centre.

Missions in Modern Combat 5: Blackout last for no longer than about three hundred seconds, which is of course shorter than the previous games of the series.

As you play in certain class, you get to acquire a ‘weapon score’, you unlock new guns (rifles, snipers or machine guns) and other equipments which are part of the game.

Unlike other games of the series, Modern Combat 5: Blackout uses DRM and requires a consistent and active internet connection to run. [An internet connection is required for both campaign as well as in multiplayer].

Weapons in Modern Combat 5: Blackout

Following is the information about weapon.

Basically, there are four classes of army men in Modern Combat 5: Blackout.

1. Assault

2. Heavy

3. Recon

4. Sniper

Each of these four classes’ soldiers are accompanied with a unique weapon and a unique skill.

Tips and Tricks associated with Modern Combat 5: Blackout

1. Level Up Guns in Campaign

As much as you use a weapon in this game, you get closer to unlocking its required equipments which will eventually make the guns stronger in the battlefield.

2. Tweak Controls To Perfection

Blackout has a lot of different ways you can customise the controls to suit your specific play-style. You can set things up pretty much however you want, including button movement, sensitivity adjustment,  HUD opacity, and various other on/off settings (some of these are limited to campaign only). Obviously there’s not going to be a set of settings that works for everyone, so you really just need to tweak and adjust as necessary. If you are noticing that enemies are running faster than you can aim, try upping your aim sensitivity. If it’s the other way around, and your sights are going too fast for you to lock in on your opponent, maybe you should take them down a notch. Likewise with buttons, anything that you have trouble tapping, or can’t access quickly enough — it’s gotta get moved.

3. Hold Steady

When you fire your weapon, the cross-hairs will jitter around and cause your aim to be a bit off. This is affected by a couple of things, one of which is going to be your attachments — so if you are having a tough time aiming (non sensitivity related), try some more accurate attachments for your weapon. However, a wild aim can also be caused by you running, walking, or even just standing. By crouching, not only can you take great cover, but your aim is increased tremendously as well. You might be tempted to start strafing back and forth when you see an enemy doing it, but all they are doing is hurting their aim. If you crouch down and get your cross-hairs right on them, you’ll win the fight every time.

4. Always Take Cover

Shooting an enemy who has hidden itself under a camp or crouched behind a wall, is an indeed tough

nut to crack.

One of the biggest improvements you can make to your play-style is to take cover as much as possible.

Obviously there will be times where you need to sprint from one area to another, but be sure to find

cover quickly when you arrive at your destination. To avoid being flushed out by grenades, try to find a

cover spot with plenty of room to move around. This is difficult since you don’t want to be exposed from

behind either, so taking cover near your allies is usually a good idea as well. Being well covered takes a

lot of map awareness and improvisation, which are two great skills to have in Modern Combat 5.

Tips and Tricks Associated with MARVEL: Contest of Champions

Unlike the generic and traditional fighting based action games, the control system of MARVEL: Contest of Champions is not very complex.

1. In this game, defence is of utmost importance, so learn to block. However, most of the characters still take some amount of damage even after blocking. Hence, it is important to learn to dodge (by swiping left).

2. The key is about avoiding as much damage as possible and attacking only when you have an opening. However you do it, minimising your loss of health is important because your characters don’t recover health in-between fights during quests.

3. You must always try to be on the correct side of match-ups. It increases your attack accuracy, and simultaneously reduces this for your foe.

[You should not follow when you run out of choices; like you are left with only one Champion and no healing potions].

4. You may always choose to commence the battle by blocking. It may be your permanent strategy. This way you might get control over the computer controlled AI, but in case you feel that your decision went wrong; quickly turn offensive.

5. To protect yourself, there is nothing wrong in blocking even when there is no reason. It is just a way of making sure that you are all safe.

6. The only way to revive your health is consumable potion. Preserve them for the right time.

7. Look for two-star Champions as soon as possible with an eye on moving on to heroes and villains with three stars or more when you acquire them.

8. Hitting the button before the meter fills and changes colour will use all of the meter

9. A certain quantity of ISO-8 is needed to gain one level each time, and you also need Gold to actually infuse it into your character.

10. After hitting the maximum level, you can use the Catalysts to improve your Character’s rank unless that is maxed out too.

11. For beginners and rookies, Gold is fairly easy to come by, as you get it just by moving around.

12. The purple crystals you find during quests can contain a variety of rewards but mostly yield ISO-8.

Not to be ignored, Premium Hero Crystals can be bought with Units [the in-game premium currency].

These crystals provide you a guarantee of fetching you a two-star Champion for the least and can give you as much as a four-star Champion for sometimes.

13. At an interval of four hours, you will get crystals that will fetch you consumables, while the ones you receive every twenty four hours will fetch you Two Star Champions.

14. In MARVEL: Contest of Champions, you can also play PvP arena matches.

15. The special meter at the bottom of the screens gets fully filled up when you deal and take damage. Most Champions actually have multiple special moves they can utilise, but the meter will need to fill twice before using the second one and three times for the third.

16. Replaying the quests you have won can be used as a great tool to learn if you find your team weak. There are branching paths on most of the maps, and completing all of the possible routes (some of which can be much harder than others) earns you bonus rewards.

There are six variants of classes in MARVEL:

1. Cosmic

2. Skill

3. Tech

4. Mutant

5. Science

6. Mystic
