Brahma
According to the Hindu religion there are three main forms of god known as Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. In Hinduism, it is said that Brahma created the Earth and he is the “Creator.”
Brahma also created the four Hindu Vedas. It is believed to have happened that Brahma has four heads and a Veda emerged from each mouth. The goddess Saraswati is the wife of Brahma and the only Brahma temple is stated in Pushkar, Rajasthan.
Vishnu
Lord Vishnu has been considered as Palanhar of the world. Vishnu is one of the three main forms of God. There is a belief in Hinduism that only Vishnu conducts the whole world. Vishnu has many names.
Rama and Krishna are the incarnations of Vishnu. The goddess Laxmi is the wife of Lord Vishnu.
Shiva
Shiva is one of the three main forms of God. Lord Shiva has many names but some familiar names are- Mahesh, Mahadeva, Shankar, Bholenath, Mahakaal. Shiva is considered to be the destroyer.
It is believed that Shiva is an eternal god. When the world was not in existence, Shiva was there and whenever the end of the world will come, Shiva will remain.
Saraswati
The goddess of knowledge, music and art is Saraaswati. In the Hindu religion, Saraswati is related with Vedic and mythological history.
In the picture or statue of the goddess Saraswati, you can see the harp in hands that signifies the art of music, a book in one hand expresses the education and the swan indicates the art.
Lakshmi
Wife of Lord Vishnu, Lakshmi, is the goddess of wealth and welfare. In the Hindu religion, people believe that the goddess Lakshmi brings prosperity in house and business.
The grace of Lakshmi is most important to maintain prosperity and glory. On the famous festival of Diwali, Lakshmi Mata has been especially worshipped with Lord Ganesha.
Hanuman
The monkey face god Hanuman is the most powerful and the great devotee of Lord Rama. His familiar names are- Sankatmochan, Bajrangbali.
Hanuman was incarnated to help Lord Rama in defending Sita from Ravana. Sita extremely loved Hanuman as a loyal devotee. It is said that Hanuman ripped off his own chest to show his real love and devotion for Lord Rama.
Ganesha
The elephant-headed Lord Ganesha is worshipped before other deities. Lord Ganesha has many names, but Ganpati, Bappa, Vinayak are the familiar names.
Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva. It is considered in Hinduism, that Lord Ganesha eradicates all hazards and evils and does well to everyone.
Rama
Lord Rama is one form of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu was incarnated as Rama to kill Ravana in Tretayuga.
All history of Rama’s life is written in a religious and sacred book named- Ramayan. His father’s named Dashrath and mother’s named Kaushalya. Wife of Lord Rama named Sita.
When Sita was abducted by Ravana, then to find Sita, Rama created a bridge oversea with stones, which was 48 kilometers in length. He saved Sita with the help of the hanuman and Vanar Sena or army.
Krishna
Lord Krishna is also the form of Lord Vishnu. Vishnu was incarnated as Krishna to kill Kans in Dwaparyuga. Krishna has so many names, but some familiar names are- Gopal, Govind, Shyam, Kanhaiya, Vasudeva.
The ‘LadduGopal’ is worshipped by Hindus as baby Krishna. The whole biography and real character of lord Krishna are written in Hindu’s sacred and religious book named Mahabharat and SriMad Bhagwat Gita.
Lord Krishna is the son of Vasudeva and Devaki. Devaki gave birth to Krishna in jail, but after that Yashoda and Nand took Krishna with them and took care of him as real parents.
Durga
Durga is the most worshipped goddess in the Hindu religion. Goddess Durga is the other form of Lord Shiva’s wife Parvati. Durga signifies the powers to kill evil and eradicates all bad.
Goddesses Durga has nine main incarnations that are famous in Hinduism. Durga has been worshipped with full preparation during the nine days of the Hindu festival named- Navratri. Goddess Durga changed herself in different incarnations to kill many demons on the Earth.
