India is the worlds largest mango producing countries and India’s share is around 52% of the World production that is 12,000,000 tonnes against 23,000,000 tonnes produced in whole world and this fruit is very popular in India because it is very cheap and has high nutritive value richness in variety and it taste delicious and it has excellent flavour it is a rich source of vitamin A and C.

Chausa – This variety was first introduced by sher Shah Suri from Pakistan to northern India. He defeated Humayun at chausa that is in present day Bihar and that is where the name came from.

Dasheri – This variety is mainly popular in Lucknow and it was first cultivated in the garden of Nawab around to 200 years back, this mango is very bright in colour and it can be used for making Aamras and Chutney.

Langra – Langara is also very famous variety of mango that is consumed in India and it is cultivated in Varanasi it is believed that it was first cultivated by a lame man and that is where the name Langara came from, this mango is oval in shape and sometimes green in colour and it is cultivated from July to August.
